Our program has similarities and differences to other design solutions. Current users tell us our site is user-friendly, with an effective search engine. That means less time for you to find what you need, plus the flexibility to introduce new ideas you hadn’t considered. Our continual addition of new artist affords homeowners, business owners and designers to enjoy the chance to locate a wide range of artistic choices and services in 1 location. And, there’s no Gallery or website fee, either. The art buyer works directly with the artist to create the professional collaboration your project deserves.
We have designed this program to create a link among artists, business/homeowners and the design community. We offer art consumers direct, easy access to a juried selection of diverse artists and artisans. As a homeowner, you save time and money, since our artists’ work has been previewed by a professional selection team. We also publish valuable background information on artists’ webpages to help you understand how and why each artist’s unique work is created.
Designers gain a new source for distinctive, affordable artwork and art services. The Home and Garden Art Link Program created an easy way to collaborate directly with our artists-no matter the size of your project or the style or type of artwork you need. Designers and art buyers have a convenient, new design resource at no additional cost.
Designers who use HomeandGardenArtLink.com benefit in 2 ways; Our program recognizes Preferred Designers on the HomeandGardenArtLink.com website and will link to websites of those designers. (To be included just answer a simple questionnaire twice a year detailing your use of Art Link artists for your projects.) Art Link Preferred Designers will also be recognized in press releases plus ads and articles in design-recognized publications.
For over 10 years, our loyal Gallery clients have told us that they rely on the consistent quality, craftsmanship and unique selections from our artists. Our art selection team judges artists’ work based on aesthetic design, subject matter, suitability and quality craftsmanship. We review & jury artwork to bring you innovative creations in a time-saving fashion.
We proudly attribute our 10-year success to the innovative artwork of over 35 Central Coast artists at The Gallery At The Network. However, many of these artists create diverse work that can’t be contained within our 4 walls. For example, we have ceramic artists who make beautiful large-scale sculpture, which is impractical to show on a regular basis in our Gallery setting. We have 3-dimensional artists who also paint and do photography, too. Finally, local home and business owners, architects, landscape and interior designers consistently seek new artistic products and services for their various projects. Now, we’re able to link this need with established and emerging artistic talent, such as mosaic walls, fountains, textiles, lighting, specialty painting, outdoor installations, furniture along with 2-dimensional fine art and photography.
Yes, many of our artists accept art commissions. Others alter existing artwork on a case-by-case basis-- color, materials or size, for example. Artists describe their approach to art commissions on their webpage, along with other artistic details. Typically, you and the artists will discuss specific art details, timelines, rates and payment arrangements. To learn more information regarding commissioning artwork please see Tips & Tools on our website, HomeandGardenArtLink.com.
There are no fees associated with using Home and Garden Art Link services. You arrange art payment and terms directly with each artist. Since there’s no “middle layer”, you benefit with top quality artwork at affordable prices.
Artists set their own prices, based on public demands, materials used, project complexity, competition and fair market value. Our artists understand price points and budget needs. So please feel free to discuss your project’s artistic and budget needs with artists. Frequently, they can help you create the perfect art option and stay within your intended expense plan. The artists don’t pay a commission to The Home and Garden Art Link Program. Instead, that savings is passed directly to you, the art consumer.
Since Designers work with artists directly they can negotiate prices to fit their clients.
Art buyers pay no fees to Home and Garden Art Link. You arrange payment directly with the artist. Of course, you’ll pay associated costs for sales tax, shipping, installation, custom and/or expedite charges. Many artists accept major credit cards or PayPal for payment. We suggest buyers confirm other unique charges or payment questions directly with each artist.
Primarily, our program provides art and garden patrons the best collection possible as a referral resource for fine, functional and decorative arts. We use consistent, top-quality standards to affirm artists’ design, materials and workmanship. As with any contracted work, we encourage all our clients to discuss references and appropriate guarantees with your selected artists, since they are the ones who will stand behind their work over time.
A key reason we created this program was to introduce talented artisans to commercial businesses and, home owners and the designers who solve their project challenges. Once you select an artist, you work directly with that artist — for proposals, contracts, unique plumbing or electrical needs, and all installation details. Many of our artists can provide installation resources &/or labor for unique site preparation and installation. Of course, you’ll want to confirm that installation costs are included in your more complex art purchases. Ex: public art, masonry, custom tile, woodwork, etc.
A helpful benefit of the Home and Garden Art Link website is that you aren’t limited to any design style, color or art media. Using our flexible search engine, you can create unique style selections from all our artists. For example, by entering “Asian, bamboo, lacquer” you’ll get a wider selection of options to match specific style needs for a particular Eastern-influenced project.
Our artists’ varied art and background descriptions make it easy to find multiple design solutions for client needs, like “Traditional quilt”, “contemporary tapestry” or “Craftsman textiles.” Finally, our artists’ webpages are merely a portal to their broader collections and capabilities. We encourage our art patrons to contact artists directly when they find something interesting or have questions. Home and Garden Art Link owners are also available to help you locate unique art solutions, too.
Many artists’ have webpages also have direct access to their personal art websites, too. If an artist doesn’t have a personal website, we invite you to contact the artist directly to request more images, view their portfolio or possibly arrange a studio visit.
Architects, designers, homeowners and commercial business owners come together twice a year to meet the Home and Garden Art Link owners and selected artists at the Paso Robles Home Show, the San Luis Obispo Home Show and at our VIP Designer Brunches held at the Gallery at the Network, 778 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo.
Our home location, The Gallery at the Network is in San Luis Obispo, CA. So, of course we have talented local artists who wanted to take advantage of our new designer program right away. Many of these original artists create, ship &/or install their unique artwork outside the Central Coast area. We suggest homeowners and designers ask artist members about any geographical limits — for example, shipping art outside the U. S.
Each artist’s webpage is unique to their particular art media. Some images are originals or limited/numbered editions, and may be for sale. Also our art photos may show representative examples of artists’ unique style or technique, helpful for art commission ideas. Since art sales change frequently, we suggest a quick e-mail or phone call to the artist to check the status if you see something that interests you or your clients.
